Wildlife Attractions
Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC), the former Zoo is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Uganda
housing some of the rarest animals in Africa like the White Rhino and
Chimpanzees.
Other Wildlife attractions in Entebbe and surroundings include:
Ngamba
Chimpanzee Island,
Reptiles Village and
The Botanical Gardens.
Entebbe Golf Club
Entebbe Golf Club: The course is playable all year round. The club also features 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a cricket oval. Indoor games include badminton, darts and snooker.
While at the golf course take time to watch some rare birds in the more than 50 years old trees.
Bird Watching
Right in our own back yard (Airport View Hotel Gardens) are some
of the rarest birds on the shores of the 2nd largest fresh
water body.
Uganda is the jewel in the crown of East Africa, generally recognized as having some of the best remaining forest in
Africa and with it some truly remarkable bird watching. Some
of the remarkable bird watching destinations include;
Botanical Gardens and the shores of Lake Victoria
The Beaches
Weather for a swim, family outing, beach games, Sailing or weekend entertainment, Entebbe Beaches are Uganda's daily attractions
especially on weekends.
Entebbe beaches include; Water Front Beach, Imperial Botanical Beach, Imperial Resort Beach, Lido Beach, Aero Beach and Garuga Beach.
Sailing
Entebbe Sailing Club; The climate and lake provide the perfect environment for sailing, fishing, jet skiing or windsurfing. And, for those members who neither sail, fish nor indulge in other energetic water sports the well stocked club house or lakeside bar is an ideal place to unwind after a busy week. Put the world's problems right over a large gin and tonic and watch the sun set over the lake.
